The requirement

A handheld measuring instrument needed a two-line readout with a status row, in a housing only a few millimetres thicker than the battery inside it.

What we supplied

  • 128×32 COG graphic module with a thin outline
  • Positive mode with a white LED backlight for indoor and outdoor reading
  • FPC connection arranged so the module folds into the housing during assembly
  • Character set and pinout matched to the existing firmware

Design note

With graphic modules, agreeing the character set and the initialisation sequence before tooling saves a firmware rewrite later. We confirm both against your controller datasheet.
