The requirement

The previous generation used a mechanical timer plus digital tubes. The new design needed a single display showing remaining time, cycle stage and safety status, readable through a tinted door.

What we supplied

  • Segment layout with a dominant countdown field and a cycle-stage indicator
  • High-contrast structure selected for reading through the door window
  • Backlight for the cycle stages that run in a dark room
  • Decorative printing to hide the inactive segments behind the window

Why it matters

Safety equipment has to be unambiguous: the user must be able to tell from a distance whether the cycle has finished and whether the door can be opened.
