The requirement
The appliance team wanted a display module rather than bare glass, so the assembly line does not handle polarizers or bonding. The front window is decorative, so contrast had to work through it.
What we supplied
- Segment module with controller, backlight and frame as one part
- Layout for PM2.5 value, fan speed, timer and filter life
- Negative mode with a blue backlight to match the appliance design language
- Pinout defined by the existing appliance controller, so the firmware did not change
Result
One part number replaces a multi-step display assembly, and the module is tested before it reaches the appliance line.
