Case study
Display for a High-Temperature Steam Steriliser
Temperature, pressure and remaining cycle time on a device whose own heat is the design constraint.

The requirement
Sterilising equipment produces the heat that the display has to survive. The readout also carries safety meaning: the user must see whether the cycle is complete and whether the chamber is safe to open.
What we supplied
- High-temperature fluid and polarizer for the internal ambient temperature
- Layout with a dominant timer, temperature and pressure fields
- Status indication that does not depend on reading a number
- Mounting arranged so the display is isolated from the chamber wall
What to specify
The temperature the display itself will see — not the chamber setpoint — and the longest time it stays at that temperature. Both decide the fluid choice.
