A complete backlight unit — light guide, diffuser, reflector and LEDs — delivered as one part for the assembly line.
The requirement
The customer wanted to stop assembling backlights on their own line: light guide, diffuser, reflector and LEDs arriving as separate parts meant separate inspections and a stack of handling steps.
What we supplied
- Complete BLU module with the guide, diffuser, reflector and LED array assembled and tested
- Uniformity and colour temperature verified on the finished module, not on the components
- Connector and drive current specified for the customer board
- Outline matched to the existing aperture
Result
One part number replaces several, and the optical performance is measured at the level the customer actually receives rather than at component level.
